Alto Nivel | February 14, 2022 |

It involves a lot of commitment and sacrifice to settle a debt that will take several years to be paid. In the event that workers can no longer make payments, whether due to lack of resources or other reasons, they can transfer their Infonavit credit, we tell you the requirements.

Transferring a property means transferring ownership of a home to another person, that is, there is a debt on this property and it will be sold together with that debt. In this way, whoever buys the house must guarantee Infonavit that it will cover the remaining payments in a timely manner.

The requirements to transfer your Infonavit credit to the seller are to have a current credit with at least two years of completed payments and not have used the Payment Protection Fund in the last six months.

Additionally, it must be an individual type credit, not have requested an extension to pay and the papers of the house must be notarized and appear in the Public Registry of the locality.

In the case of the buyer, it is required to have a current formal employment relationship and meet the minimum Infonavit score of 1,080 points.

If both involved meet the requirements and have their personal documentation, they must go to one of the Infonavit offices, there if the institute authorizes the process, then they must go to a notary public and formalize the transfer of credit and housing.

In this sense, it is necessary to highlight that the workers who transfer their home will obtain a much lower amount than the total cost of the property.
