The government of Mexico City works together with developers to give a new face to the center of the capital and take advantage of unused properties and properties. However, some proposals are delayed.
Such is the case of the improvement of Juárez 92, a corner that represents the connection between the Reforma corridor and for which a company and / or architecture firm was sought to develop an urban project that will enhance its beneficial location.
Real estate consultation: Rent of spaces per hour alternative to the homeoffice
To achieve this, the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (Seduvi) together with the Historic Center Authority launched a call, in which a project was proposed that will be deployed in the 5,228 square meters of the property, with the capacity to build up to 70 thousand 51 square meters on 27 levels.
One of the requirements was that the development take into account eco-technologies focused on reducing the consumption and production of solid waste, as well as promoting the strengthening of the historical memory of the area.
Of interest: Reconversion of spaces is favored in the post-pandemic period
Authorities received 23 proposals, of which only one reached the final phase, but the jury determined that it also did not meet the criteria to carry out the project, said Dunia Ludlow, general coordinator of the Historic Center Authority in a column on Reform.
So the CDMX government has decided to reopen the application period, explained Dudlow, although the new deadlines have not been specified.
