Foton México announced that it will build a manufacturing and warehouse center in Mexico that will meet the demand for cars and auto parts in the Latin American markets, according to Richard Fu, President of Foton Overseas.

With the new factory, the Chinese brand will be placed in the top three of commercial vehicles in Mexico. Today it has 20 distributors in the country, its goal for the end of 2023 is to add 12 more to close with 32.
Due to this growth, Foton will move its offices to a new headquarters in Santa Fe, Mexico City, where it will have 80 collaborators and will support the future growth of the brand. This location has an area of 620 square meters and required an investment of 10 million pesos.

On the other hand, José Manuel Armenta, president and CEO of Foton México, shared that, in the medium term, the brand will be 100% electric. So far, the Chinese company specializing in trucks, buses, and pickups offers three sustainable models.
As of today, it has sold five thousand units in the country, among all its models. By 2023, there is a plan to put 10,000 vehicles into circulation on the streets of Mexico.
"This 2023 we are going to triple the figure because we have made a strategy of dividing commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles," Armenta said.
