In the context of nearshoring, the interoceanic submarket of the Tehuantepec Isthmus (CIIT) contemplates a long-term economic strategy to promote connectivity between the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean through railways, roads, industrial parks and interconnections with ports. .

The CITT economic development plan includes the construction of 10 industrial parks to attract investment from 11 industrial vocations such as;  electricity, electronics, semiconductors, automotive, medical devices, pharmaceutical industry, petrochemicals among others.

The intention is that 1.4 million containers per year will be moved through the CITT, for this the Federal Government announced that companies that settle in these industrial parks will receive a 100% reduction in income tax for 3 years and up to 90%. % in the following three conditional on certain numbers of jobs created.
