Denso México expands operations in Guanajuato for 9.8 million dollars

Automotive manufacturing grows in Guanajuato with the start of the third expansion of the Denso México company, located in Silao, for which it will invest 9.8 million dollars and the number of jobs will grow by 2,500 employees.

Denso is a Japanese company in the automotive sector that has four plants in Mexico, two of them are in Guanajuato, the first since 2014, being one of the main leading suppliers of automotive technology systems and components for companies such as Toyota, Honda, Ford , GM, Chrysler, Nissan and Volkswagen.

With the laying of the first stone of this new expansion, Denso began the construction of a new warehouse where equipment will be stored to satisfy the needs of its customers in the automotive industry.

At its Silao plant, it manufactures radiators, alternators, tanks and spray systems for windshield washer fluid, devices that separate cold from hot air in vehicle air conditioning (H-Vac).

Dense impacts in favor of the socioeconomic development in the area, since just last April the Irapuato plant was inaugurated, bringing the number of employees to 2,541, of which 1,896 are from the Silao plant and 645 work at the Irapuato plant, where the windshield wiper system is manufactured.

It should be remembered that just last April Denso started up its fourth operations complex in the country, within the Castro del Río Industrial Park, where it settled on an area of nine hectares where it employs 645 people to manufacture a new system of wiper washer.

This new development was added to those located in Apodaca, Guadalupe, Monterrey and Silao, in which different auto parts are manufactured that provide support to the automotive industry, in addition to employing more than eight thousand people.

Denso México arrived in Mexico in 1996 as a subsidiary of Denso Corporation Japan, one of the leading companies in technological solutions to various manufacturing plants internationally.

The Denso Apodaca plant has just over 4,500 associated with a land of 720 thousand 86 square feet, making it one of the largest plants in North America; the Guadalupe plant was the second to start operations in Mexico in 2004, employing more than 750 associates, specialists in the manufacture of motor parts.

Japan is the first investment partner of Guanajuato with 117 companies installed, which add more than 6 thousand 116 million dollars of investment and 43 thousand 981 committed jobs.
