Industrial leasing in Mexico City increases 35% compared to May 2023

Mexico City closes the third two months of the year with 172 thousand square meters leased, placing it in second place after Monterrey during the months of May and June.

During May, the highest industrial demand of 130 thousand square meters was reported, which represents an increase of 35% compared to May 2023. A trend that continues to rise and will favor the current year with more square meters of lease in the capital.

The most important transaction was carried out in the Tultitlán submarket, with a percentage of 78% in demand, within the Danhos Cuautitlán I and Tultipark III industrial parks. On the other hand, Toluca and Tlalnepantla registered the remaining 22% of the demand in the Metropolitan Zone.

The logistics sector continues to be the most dynamic market in industrial transactions in the capital, mainly to favor the high demand that companies in this sector have experienced.

It is expected that industrial demand in the city will continue to rise, as the second stages of the main industrial parks continue under construction, including Danhos Cuautitlán, Logistic Center Cuautitlán, Vesta Punta Norte and T-MexPark.
