The automotive company will open a new business unit where it will manufacture security products for automobiles, with an expansion of 3,000 square meters, said Víctor Guerrero, manager of the Yanfeng plant in Querétaro.

They currently have 14 production lines for different clients and with this business unit they will add two, estimating to start manufacturing in 2024; generating 65 direct jobs and 20 indirect jobs, in its first stage.

The reasons for this investment are the availability of qualified personnel to operate this type of technology, economic stability, quality of life conditions and strategic location.

“Having this operation in Querétaro allows us to be very close to several automotive assemblers that are in the Bajío area”, highlighted the manager of the Yanfeng plant in this entity.

The star products of this Tier1 company in the automotive industry are three: car interior door panels, dashboards and consoles, and additionally in this portfolio they will add security elements.

To ensure product quality, Yanfeng has a system that applies to all plants, in order to meet the requirements of each of its customers.

Additionally, it has two specialized laboratories; one for metrology that has state-of-the-art technology to measure and guarantee the geometry of all our products, and another for the detonation of air bags, which is highly specialized, Guerrero said.

They also integrated collaborative robots into their technology processes, which take measurements of the product and guarantee the presence of each and every one of the components, integrating this into the strategy to go to Industry 4.0, which is already a reality, he said. 

This company supplies large European and Asian brands, as well as North American brands in the automotive market with plants installed in our country and abroad, where 60% of sales are in Mexico and the remaining 40% for international suppliers.
