The flexible office space company WeWork recorded record increases in the number of memberships for the use of its co-working spaces in February.

The company reported a 30 percent increase in sales compared to the previous month, while the traffic in its buildings increased 25 percent during the last month, as a result of the increase in urban mobility.

With this, it exceeds its pre-pandemic levels with 30,000 memberships placed at the end of last month, which indicates that the economic and labor recovery remains at a good pace,” the company assured.

On average, the company registers 6,000 daily visits to its facilities, a figure that doubles the 3,400 registered per day on average during 2021.

WeWork also highlighted positive results in building occupancy, reaching 58 percent, a level not seen since March 2020, when preventive restrictions began due to the covid-19 pandemic.

However, some of its buildings already exceed 80 percent occupancy, among them, particularly those located in areas of high corporate affluence such as WeWork Mariano Escobedo, in Mexico City, as well as WeWork Washington 1400 and WeWork Eugenio Garza Sada in Monterey, Nuevo Leon.

"The trend of returning to offices continues to be observed throughout the Latin American region, but it is especially evident in Mexico, since, according to WeWork, our country leads the sale of new desks and memberships," WeWork insisted.
