WEG Mexico announces the opening of its new plant in Hidalgo, with an investment of 140 mp

WEG Mexico, a manufacturer of low-consumption motors, announced the opening of its new plant, located in the Quma Industrial Park, in Atotonilco de Tula, Hidalgo.

This is an investment of 140 million pesos, which is part of the projects presented by Governor Julio Menchaca, in June 2023.

According to information from the firm, the property will generate up to 1,500 direct and indirect jobs in the region. In addition, it will strengthen the presence of Hidalgo as a strategic point for the national and international industry.

The opening ceremony was led by Mauro Mendez and Carlos Elías Rodríguez, general director and sales director of WEG Mexico, respectively, who announced the implementation of future innovative projects in the entity.

During the event, the Secretary of Economic Development, Carlos Henkel Escorza, highlighted that this project reflects the commitment of the government of Hidalgo with economic development.

He also celebrated that works such as the new WEG plant allow the construction of an environment conducive to receiving investments.
