Fibra Prologis acquires three new logistics properties for $ 71.5 million

Fibra Prologis made an investment of $ 71.5 million dollars, including closing costs, for the acquisition of logistics properties, on three buildings that were purchased from its sponsor, Prologis, Inc; and other third parties.

According to the Real Estate Trust (Fibra), these developments comprise a total of 873,225 square feet of industrial space.

"Our exclusive access to our sponsor's portfolio of projects, combined with our ability to acquire strategic third-party properties, is a true competitive advantage," said Luis Gutiérrez, CEO of Prologis Mexico.

It is worth mentioning that the transactions took place in the latter part of the fourth quarter of 2021 and at the beginning of 2022.

Through a statement, Fibra announced that the new properties include Last Touch facilities in  Mexico City, Reynosa and Tijuana.

"We continue to position Prologis in value submarkets to address manufacturing and nearshoring demand, as well as the growing need for modern Last Touch logistics facilities," Gutierrez added.

Fibra Prologis is a leading owner and operator of Class A industrial real estate in Mexico and as of September 30, 2021, the company consisted of 208 logistics and manufacturing facilities in six industrial markets of the country.

In this way, it added a total of 40.6 million square feet, that is, 3.8 million square meters of gross leasable area.
