Top 5 industrial investments in July 2023

Mexico registered 548.4 million dollars in investments, being that of the BorgWarner company the highest with 198 million dollars, according to information published by Mexico Industry during the month of July.

At the beginning of July, the US company held the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new production plant focused on power electronic components and electric motors. The firm, with more than eight years in the state, will establish its first plant in San Luis Potosí.

In addition, in its quest to become an electromobility manufacturing hub, it will also have a product validation testing laboratory, with a focus on investors, opening the door for the development of new technologies at home.

The French company Safran, a specialist in the field of aeronautics, made the second largest investment of the month with 80 million dollars in Querétaro, in order to create its seventh plant that will house a test bench, a project called SAESA Testcell, where Aeronautical engine tests will be carried out.

In turn, Exa Industrial is the third most outstanding investment in July and the first at a national level in this list, with 56 million dollars to expand its operations in the Comarca Lagunera, in Coahuila. The company is dedicated to the field of manufacturing auto parts and production of semi-trailers.

The fourth most important investment in July, with 46 million dollars, corresponds to CFMonto, which inaugurated its first plant in Apodaca, Nuevo León, where they plan to manufacture 100,000 all-terrain vehicles per year. Its headquarters are located in VYNMSA Apodaca Industrial Park.

Finally, the top five investments for the month are closed by the South Korean company, Kyungshin, with 45 million dollars, for the inauguration of three plants in Gómez Palacio, Durango.

The company will be dedicated to the manufacture of battery modules for electric cars, electronic cards and harnesses, providing technical and professional development opportunities for young people in the fields of mechatronics and electronics, its main client being Kia Motors.
