With the intention of strengthening its supply chain and satisfying the expectations and requirements of its customers, by accelerating delivery times, The Home Depot opens a new logistics center in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico.
The logistics node is expected to have an area of 25,000 square meters and will have the capacity to handle complex, bulky and heavy products, which will allow it to serve the region's markets more quickly.
According to the company, the new facility is considered the largest nationwide and will serve the different stores located in Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Morelos and Hidalgo; that is, it will serve 25% of all stores in Mexico and will seek to make the logistics processes of the orange apron company more efficient.

The objectives of the new node are to support the growth of new stores, make operations more efficient, speed up delivery times and reduce physical store inventories.
It should be noted that the opening of the new logistics facility is part of the ambitious plan to strengthen the company's logistics network of 1,000 million pesos, which started in 2020 and will run until 2025.
This contemplates the expansion of its two multi-channel distribution centers, located in Nuevo León and Hidalgo, as well as the construction of new Logistics Nodes in various entities of the Mexican Republic, including: Baja California, Estado de México, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Puebla, Querétaro, Quintana Roo and Sinaloa, among others.

The plan includes the creation of 500 new jobs, the acquisition of new equipment, the incorporation of cutting-edge technology and the strengthening of its infrastructure to improve its Last Mile strategy, since the supply chain is a fundamental part of the interconnected retail strategy of the brand to provide fast, efficient and flexible solutions to its customers and make the experience in store and online the same.
The Home Depot has 16 stores in the State of Mexico and employs more than 1,400 associates in the area, and since its arrival at the entity in 2006, the company has invested more than 2,950 million pesos.
