In order to increase operational capacity and improve North American supply chains, Tenere will move to a new 255,000-square-foot facility, located in Pocket Park Oriente, in the municipality of Juárez, Nuevo León.
The company of American origin, established in 2016, has a sheet metal manufacturing plant in Nuevo León —the only one in the country—, with an area of 100,000 square feet.
Thanks to their new location, they will increase the volume of manufacturing custom sheet metal boxes, sheet metal racks, chassis and cabinets. Currently, they produce around 350,000 pieces a year; at the new facility, they hope to make 100% more.
The development will take place in two phases: in the first, Tenere will move into the new plant once 180,000 square feet have been completed; while the second stage will be an expansion of an additional 75,000 square feet. The process will begin in the spring of this year.

Currently, they have 220 employees. The plan is to create work for at least another 150 operators. That is why it is crucial to move to the new area, informed Arturo Hernández, general director of Tenere Nuevo León.
He also indicated that, although they have local suppliers, one of the goals is for the number to continue growing. It's a work in progress, he added.
One of the keys to the company's success, said the director of marketing, was to change its line of business a few years ago. Today, the companies we supply to are growing exponentially: data centers, cloud infrastructure, network architecture, fiber optics, and renewable energy.

One thing we've done as a company is increase automation at each of our locations. That gives us a lot of benefits in terms of production, quality and cycle times, stressed Audrey Hamilton, director of marketing for Tenere.
The establishment of the company in Nuevo León arises as a response to a growing concern of customers for Tenere to be part of the global supply chain of North America, not only in the United States, but also in Mexico.
