Tempur Sealy announced an investment of 3.5 million dollars in its plant located in Toluca, State of Mexico, to increase production for the local market.
The capital injection consists of a 50% expansion in the productive area, to reach 19,000 square meters, between manufacturing area and office area, said Shane McDonnell, general director of Tempur Sealy Mexico.
The world brand in solutions for rest, which has 69 plants around the world, expects that after this investment, the production of its only plant in Mexico will register an increase of 25 to 30% in the coming years.

The headquarters is focused on the manufacture of Sealy brand mattresses mainly for the Mexican market, as well as other markets in Central and South America.
Mexico is currently the third most important market for Tempur-Sealy International.
According to its most recent results report, the brand's global sales have increased 4% compared to the previous year, reaching 1,211 million dollars for the second quarter of this year.
The expansion, which will be completed during the first quarter of 2023, will help strengthen ties with these customers and meet the demand of a public increasingly interested in a good rest, McDonnell said.

It should be noted that Tempur-Sealy is the only official brand of the Mexican Society for Sleep Research and Medicine (SOMIMS), due to the innovation that supports the development of each of its products.
