Stellantis has started the production of electric vehicles at its Toluca plant

The plant located in Toluca Mexico, with more than 60 years of history and birthplace of iconic vehicles such as the Jeep Compass and the PT Cruiser, has been transformed to house the new STLA Large platform, this advanced infrastructure is key in the transformation towards electroviability , allowing the production of vehicles with internal combustion, hybrid and electric engines.

The commitment to electroviability at the Toluca plant not only responds to global trends in the Industry, but also to the needs of generating jobs and strengthening the economy of the State of Mexico.

Laura Hernández, Secretary of Economic Development of the State of Mexico, highlighted that the state government has aligned its economic objectives with mobility and infrastructure to guarantee the sustained growth of both new and established automotive companies.
