The capital of Coahuila has positioned itself as an important automotive cluster in the northeastern Mexican region.
This industry, in addition to generating a large number of jobs, has achieved diversified growth in terms of facilities and buildings in the hands of the public and private sectors in Coahuila.
In addition to its good location, Saltillo has grown synergistically with one of the most important markets in the country, such as Monterrey, its neighboring city.

Its qualified workforce, infrastructure, government incentives and international treaties have played a fundamental role for the industrial development of this city.
The automotive companies in Saltillo culminated in 2Q2021 with 147 thousand m2 of leased industrial warehouses, out of the 4.2 million square meters available.
The Canadian auto parts manufacturer Martinrea International leased the largest space, 17,651 m2 for the expansion of its operations at its Ramos Arizpe plant.
Regarding the origin of the capital that entered, China stands out in the first place, followed by the United States, accompanied by various national investments.
Solili foresees that Saltillo will continue to advance steadily by diversifying the local supplier of the automotive sector. Creating an increasingly competitive infrastructure in terms of size and modernity in its industrial facilities.

The warehouse and logistics sector also stood out in Saltillo. In the last six months, three companies of this line in four transactions occupied almost 36 thousand square meters of profitable net area, which represents 29% of the total demand.
Ceva Logistics is the firm that rented the most, with almost 19 thousand square meters of the Santa María industrial park in the Ramos Arizpe submarket.
For its part, Vitti Logistic signed two rental contracts for its operations in Saltillo. The first in November 2020 and the second in March 2021, which accumulate a gross absorption of 21 thousand 450 square meters.
