Neither the pandemic nor the security situation that exists in some municipalities of the state has kept investment from industries in Guanajuato away, since from January to October 2021 the state attracted approximately 17% of the construction of industries that were completed in the country.
According to a report prepared by the consulting firm Solili, one of the main information platforms of the real estate sector in the country, from January to October 80,769 square meters of industrial buildings were demanded, both for the arrival of new investments and for the expansion of factories located in the state.
This demand means an increase of 47% compared to what was built the previous year and 10% more compared to what was registered during 2019.

In this regard, Mauricio Usabiaga Díaz Barriga, Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development, pointed out that the companies that are installed in the state and those that are arriving have confidence in their investments and know that there is security for them, for which they have decided to bet on the state.
In addition, he pointed out that despite the Covid-19 pandemic that affected the entire world in economic matters, in Guanajuato the effects have been less compared to other entities, since capital continued to arrive in the state.
In addition to this, he highlighted the trip to Europe where investments of more than 446 million dollars were made, "which will translate into more and better jobs."
The Solili report indicates that the largest number of industrial properties that were occupied during 2021 are concentrated in two corridors that Guanajuato has.
