The authorities of the State of Mexico (Edomex) inaugurated the new Fundadores Science Park, in Toluca, an area of more than 24 thousand square meters that has more than 7 thousand square meters of green areas.
A few steps from the Government Palace of the entity, the site has fountains, children's games, walkers, spaces for exhibitions, shops, bookstores and sites for the promotion of handicrafts.

It also has a planetarium, the first in Toluca, with a 360-degree screen where they will screen scientific documentaries, and they hope it will be one of the biggest attractions in the city center.
Alfredo del Mazo Maza, governor of Edomex, mentioned that this park is the most important intervention of the last 40 years in the Historic Center of Toluca.
He said that the park will form a corridor with tourist and cultural value to connect the Cosmovitral, the José María Velasco, Felipe Santiago Gutiérrez museums, the Luis Nishizawa Museum-Workshop, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Plaza de los Mártires.

The state executive pointed out that previously this park was a concrete slab, with a parking lot, so the renovation seeks to generate an identity for the capital of Mexico.
In January 2020, Del Mazo Maza announced an investment of 350 million pesos for said renovation, which was considered a rain harvesting system.
