Nestlé, P&G and Walmart de México y Centroamérica inaugurated a Recycling Center in the Walmart Supercenter store located in Cuautitlán, State of Mexico within the framework of Earth Day.
This center will have a capacity to recycle up to 119 tons of waste during its first two years of operation.
The initiative is part of the "Together for a Better Tomorrow" program and corresponds to the actions of Nestlé, P&G, Walmart de México y Centroamérica and the Government of the State of Mexico, to strengthen the country towards a healthier environment in which citizens can be part of the solution for sustainability.

During the inaugural ribbon cutting, the opening of an additional recycling center was also announced, which will be located in Bodega Aurrerá in Quintana Roo. Both spaces will be able to receive waste such as PET, HDPE (high-density polyethylene), aluminum and glass, to name a few.
Through "Together for a Better Tomorrow", waste has been collected during March and April, months in which the campaign invited families in Mexico to contribute. By showing their commitment to the environment, participants receive bonuses in Cashi by registering the kilos delivered in the ecolana app.
In this regard, Claudia de la Vega, director of Corporate Affairs of Walmart de México y Centroamérica, pointed out that this commitment is a reflection of the conviction to contribute to improving the environment in the country and aspire to be a regenerative company by 2040.

"This means going beyond sustainability, by helping the community to live better, on a better planet, with more opportunities for society, within a framework of ethics and integrity, which we can promote through the sum of all" .
Nestlé Mexico also participated and highlighted the positive response of families and as a company they are pleased to be able to add value to people's lives.
Ana Paula González, director of Communication at P&G México, one of the axes of all the companies that operate in the country, is the circular economy; and with the inauguration they promote the reuse of resources and seek to extend the life and use of waste.
