He mentioned that in San Luis Potosí there are already companies that can be suppliers to the BMW plant, since there are already factories specialized in the production of battery cells and motors.
The President indicated that it is difficult to predict how many more companies will settle in the state to be suppliers of the new BMW plant. However, it is estimated that up to 20 suppliers will arrive for each plant seeking to be close to the buyer.

The new plant will start with 500 jobs, but plans to increase to 1,000 or more, which will be high-quality jobs because highly-skilled engineers are needed to produce electric cars.
The directive pointed out that the production of the cars, as well as the batteries, will require specialized personnel in electronic and systems engineering, among others.
