12 investment projects are materialized as a result of the Queretaro tour of Europe

Twelve investment projects were completed during the tour of Europe, informed Marco del Prete Tercero, head of the Secretariat for Sustainable Development (Sedesu) of Querétaro.

The figure joins the investment projects that the Queretaro government had before this trip, so that in total there are 59 projects in the portfolio, 37 new and 22 expansions, which represent about 96,000 million pesos of investment and the generation of nearly 37,000 new jobs.

“Most of these projects have to do with the automotive and aerospace sector, let's say the manufacture of transportation equipment. Most of these projects are between the US, Canada and Mexico, the main investor countries”, explained the secretary.

The entourage, among other officials and representatives of the industry, was made up of Esaú Magallanes Alonso, president of the National Chamber of Industry and Transformation (Canacintra) in Querétaro; Fabián Camacho Arredondo, leader of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism in Querétaro (Canaco); Oscar Hale Palacios, leader of the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC); and Juan Carlos Corral Marín, president of the State Aeronautical Cluster.

At a joint press conference, the business leaders gave details of the companies they visited and the potential they saw for generating business. The tour included the countries of France, Switzerland and Spain and in total, the head of Sedesu referred, 16 meetings were held, five of them diplomatic and 11 business.

Companies such as Safran (France), Nestlé (Switzerland) and Metalsa (Spain), among others, were included in the tour.

The group of authorities warned of a constant interest in the decarbonization of the economy and sustainable projects, for which they considered that the public policies that have been worked on in this regard in the state will be useful to carry out commercial exchanges, the establishment of new companies and the expansion of existing ones in the entity.

The details of the investments made in Europe with names and amounts by company will be broken down in the coming months, Marco del Prete announced.
