San Luis Potosí has some strengths to attract large corporations, but also weaknesses such as the lack of supply of first-class spaces suitable for this segment and lack of experience in the field, compared to León and Querétaro.
These aspects must be optimized to capture this type of investment, said Pablo López Gallardo, director of market research at the real estate firm Solili, specialized in the sector.
Another aspect to improve is mobility within the metropolitan area of the capital of Potosí, as it is a factor that large firms evaluate to set up their corporate offices.
Under current conditions, it is at a disadvantage to compete with Leon and Queretaro because these two cities have had a boom in corporate offices for years, while the capital of Potosí has not entered the sector.

The expert added that corporate investments regularly take place in cities with experience.
For this reason, despite the fact that San Luis Potosí has some advantages, such as its strategic location in the center of the country, qualified labor and great industrial development, some weaknesses must be solved.
López Gallardo considered that San Luis Potosí should bet on starting the construction of corporate buildings with capital from Potosí, since there is currently little supply and it is from national investors who have built a few type A spaces, suitable to attract this type of investment.

Solili's director of market research affirmed that the fact that San Luis Potosí does not have large corporations is not due to a lack of infrastructure, but rather to experience, in addition to a limited supply of spaces, although he did consider it important to improve the connectivity of the town.
In recent days, José Guadalupe Torres Sánchez, secretary general of the government, said that Juan Carlos Valladares Eichlemann, the new head of the Secretariat for Economic Development (Sedeco), must bet not only on attracting industrial investment, but also large corporations.
