This project also contemplates the creation of 4,000 direct jobs, which would consolidate the state as a strategic hub of the automotive sector in our country, as shared in a recent interview by Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, who also highlighted the progress in the negotiations and the conditions that make the State an attractive option for Changan.

Among the key points that have been presented to the Chinese company are the world-class infrastructure, the availability of land for large projects, the highly trained workforce and the strategic location of San Luis Potosí, which connects the north and the center of the country.

Last September, the governor held a key meeting with executives of the Chinese firm, including Shuang Song, general manager of Changan autos for Latin America, and Jason Sun, CEO of Hisun Holding Group Company, the parent company of Changan. During the meeting, the representatives of the automotive company showed special interest in the WTC and Logistik industrial parks of San Luis Potosí.

The final decision on the installation of the assembly plant is expected to be announced in November 2024. If this investment is made, it would consolidate the state's automotive cluster, which already has the presence of important companies such as BMW and General Motors.
