Safran has been operating in Mexico for more than 30 years, 15 of which have been in Querétaro.
There the company began operations with the start-up of two sites: Safran Landing Systems Services Americas and Safran Aircraft Engine Services Americas, inaugurated in 2006.
In 2010, two manufacturing plants started operations: Safran Landing Systems México and Safran Aircraft Engines México, openings that strengthened the company's capabilities and scope in the country, from Querétaro.
Safran Landing Systems Services Americas, the only workshop of its kind in the Mexican Republic and with a strategic geographic location in the American continent, focuses on the repair, renovation and major maintenance of Airbus and Boeing brand landing gears.

It currently has three production plants and two landing gear and aircraft engine maintenance and repair workshops (MRO), which have added capabilities, developed talent and generated strategies that are now paying off.
Both MROs developed the adaptability capacity to meet the requirements of the aeronautical market, with the aim of improving delivery times, versus those estimated in contracts, and the ease of providing information on post-service requirements management.
The quality achieved in its service and manufacturing workshop has led it to serve world-class clients such as Delta Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Ryanair, American Airlines, among others.

The growth of the company in the country allows them to be the number one employer in the aeronautical sector in Mexico, with around 8 thousand employees who apply their talent in production, maintenance and engineering plants.
The company seeks to contribute to a safer and sustainable aviation in a lasting way, the company explained to Mexico Industry in a document.
Likewise, Safran has opted to become a partner of educational establishments in Mexico.
This alliance includes the Franco-Mexican aerospace campus of the National Aeronautical University in Querétaro, to which it donated a CFM56-3 engine and two landing gears for the training of its students.
