19 clusters, companies and government agencies gathered to share the past, present and future activities of the clusters in the state of Chihuahua.

According to Pablo Muñoz, from the Advanced Automation and Manufacturing Cluster (MACH), one of the main organizers of the event, this event had the advantage that the clusters knew each other to make alliances and joint projects.

Among the agreements reached was that the automation cluster of the state of Chihuahua joined as co-organizer of Expo Automatización.

Regarding the state of the clusters, Muñoz highlighted that, although it cannot be generalized, a common characteristic that he found in all of them is the desire to work and consolidate the associated companies for the development and economic benefit of the state.

“I am surprised by the participation of the clusters. All the guests responded. I did not think we could have a participation of this magnitude, "he added.

Muñoz pointed out that a latent problem in Chihuahua and the rest of the state is the lack of knowledge that exists between the industry and suppliers about the needs of maquiladoras and the products and services that suppliers can offer.

“This requires a joint effort, which is why clustering becomes very important. If a small company knocks on the door of the industries, they neither listen nor see them, since they are absorbed in their own problems. When they join a cluster, SMEs have access to information, companies and possibilities”, he highlighted.

Among the main clusters that attended were the Automotive Cluster, the Aerospace Cluster, the Juarez Cluster, the Automation Cluster and others from various sectors such as biomedical, energy, logistics and foreign trade, agro-industrial and construction, among others.
