The National Auto Parts Industry (INA) announced at a press conference that the production of auto parts in Mexico will reach a historical record at the end of this year, reporting 106,665 million dollars, 12.65% compared to what was observed in 2021.
The outlook will continue to be positive for the coming years, since auto parts production is estimated to reach 108.874 million dollars in 2023, while in 2024 it will exceed the threshold of 110 billion dollars, unprecedented growth.

On the other hand, INA forecasts that, at the end of this year, the number of direct jobs generated by the industry will be 879 thousand people, which implies a growth of 5.2% in relation to the values observed in 2021.
In addition, INA mentioned that the phenomenon of relocation of investments known as nearshoring and the competitive advantages offered by the T-MEC are promoting an ideal climate for Mexico, for which reason "in recent months more than 10,000 million dollars have been announced in direct foreign investment, which will be reflected from the first months of the following year”.
INA highlighted that, due to Mexico's export profile, the automotive trade balance will generate a surplus of around 100 billion dollars at the end of 2022, representing a balance greater than the registered sum of remittances, the tourism balance, and oil.
