With the vaccination underway, the return to the offices will be gradual, so the owners of corporate buildings with little occupancy are looking for options to convert their properties into other types of buildings such as hotels, housing, educational centers and hospitals.
According to Solili, a real estate research platform, in Mexico City there are important reconversions, such as Phase II of Antara, on the National Army, where of a global area of 123 thousand square meters, 25 thousand will be allocated to a hotel, when they were planned to be offices.

The Neuchatel Cuadrante Polanco complex, which was originally conceived with five residential towers and three office towers, now plans to allocate a residential tower to a hotel.
In the Insurgentes submarket, the Universidad 1080 development, which was originally going to be a corporate building, will now be a hospital.
For its part, Fibra Uno will convert an office building in La Viga and another in Portal Satélite, in the State of Mexico, into hospitals.

In Guadalajara, the Hi: hab company converted three floors of an office building into rooms for rent to young professionals.
The building is located on the Providencia submarket, one of the most central in Guadalajara.
So far, 100 rooms have already been rented; however, the property has a potential for conversion of up to 300 spaces on nine floors. The building has an equipped roof garden, laundry, coworking, services included and WiFi.
