Workspaces are undergoing a significant transformation in the country as more and more companies invest in the well-being of their employees, according to Arturo Bañuelos, Executive Director of Projects and Developments at JLL Mexico.
According to the statement, the companies are focusing on the reconfiguration of the offices in order to adapt them to the current requirements and preferences of the staff.

This type of compensation that is not financial is part of the so-called emotional wages. And it is that although the benefits of law and salary are important, today they are not the only attractions for employees.
According to JLL, employees now value and stay longer in jobs that receive emotional rewards such as flexibility, days off, work-life balance, health and well-being, good work environment, work spaces innovators, among others.

In this context, workspaces have become open areas that encourage collaboration and communication. With new flexible work area designs, people can choose the environment that best suits their individual tasks and preferences, which in turn improves job satisfaction and efficiency.
Some of the main changes that are incorporated are lactation rooms, faith rooms, genderless bathrooms that are gaining ground in the reconfiguration of work spaces, highlighted by Arturo Bañuelos.
