Ramos Arizpe receives an investment of 20 million dollars from Jiahua Chemicals

Jiahua Chemicals, a leading company in the production of polyurethane in China, announces the investment of 20 million dollars for the construction of a new plant in the town of Ramos Arizpe. This new facility, which is expected to start operating in early 2024, aims to supply the automotive industry market in the country.

In a statement issued by the company, the strategic importance of this investment in Mexico was highlighted. The new Jiahua Chemicals plant will allow the manufacture and supply of polyurethane inputs for the growing demand of the national automotive industry.

During UTECH Las Américas 2023, an event where the latest innovations in the field of polyurethane materials and processes were presented, Tymothy Madden, CEO for America of Jiahua Industry, shared details about the company's operations.

Madden explained that Jiahua Chemicals annually produces 1.6 million tons of polyurethane consumables and has eight plants and two distribution centers in Asia and Europe, focused on research and development of biological products, carbon negative products and rigid biofoams for the automotive industry.

The presence of Jiahua Chemicals in Mexico underlines the importance of the country as one of the main polyurethane markets worldwide. Mexico currently ranks fourth in the polyurethane market, after China, the United States and Germany.

Mexico is a benchmark for its outstanding industrial poles in sectors such as the automotive industry, construction, aerospace, footwear, furniture, household appliances, and refrigeration systems.
