Companies from the automotive, information technology and services, food and beverage, electronic and household appliances sectors will invest in the entity, where 51 portfolio investment projects are projected for the amount of more than 79 billion pesos, during 2022.
With the objective of consolidating the local economy, about forty-five projects are projected in the portfolio for the state of Querétaro corresponding to Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), mainly from the United States.

“The rapprochement is constant, it does not stop, we have 51 investment projects in our portfolio, which represent 79 billion pesos of investment, which if materialized could generate about 37 thousand jobs. 10 of these projects are from the United States”, explained the Secretary of Sustainable Development of the state, Marco del Prete Tercero.
Of the total of these projects, 45 are Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and 19 correspond to the expansion of companies. One of the extensions derives from an agri-food company, the official advanced.
With information to the last cut of the Ministry of Economy, as of September 30, 2021, the entity accumulated 118.1 million dollars in new investments, that is, movements by foreign individuals or legal entities when establishing themselves in Mexico, as well as expansion.
In reinvestment of profits for representing an increase in the capital resources owned by the foreign investor, during the same period, the entity received 329.6 million dollars.
In accounts between companies, which are transactions originating from debts between Mexican companies with FDI in their capital stock and other related companies residing abroad, from January to September of last year Querétaro received 147.8 million dollars.

The main sectors in FDI for Querétaro in 2021 were the manufacturing industry with 255.6 million dollars (mdd); manufacture of transport equipment 225.9 million dollars and commerce 88.6 million dollars.
The total FDI accumulated in 2021 in the entity reaches almost 600 million dollars, of which 147.4 million dollars come from Spain, followed by 94.4 million dollars from Japan, Switzerland and the Netherlands with 72.2 million dollars and 48.3 million dollars, respectively.
