The state of Querétaro is being a benchmark as a point of strategic development to locate data centers, where companies such as Microsoft and Odata value not only the ideal climate but the provision of facilities and personnel in the performance of this work.

The Brazilian company Odata made an investment of more than 100 million dollars to create the largest data center in Querétaro; and Microsoft chose the state to build its next data centers, promising a $ 1.1 billion investment.

The data center industry is experiencing significant growth in Bajío, and worldwide spending on data center services is expected to increase 7.4%, reaching 191.648 million dollars during 2021, according to the Gartner company.

Mexico can take advantage of this opportunity and expand its participation in the market where facilities equipped with servers and connections allow having a high-power network to store, process or interpret information from a company, which exhibits a data center.

Information technologies are driving Querétaro, as they currently represent 8% of the state's Gross Domestic Product.

The industrialization that exists in the Bajío of Mexico, is an element in favor. The challenge is to provide electricity and infrastructure, where the union of the public and private sectors is vital if technological development is to be exhibited in this important Bajío state.
