As part of the next tour that state authorities will carry out in France, three new investments are expected to be made for Queretaro, explained the Secretary of Sustainable Development (Sedesu), Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero.

These are mainly projects in the aeronautical and aerospace industries, sectors in which the entity is a national and global benchmark. Defense and aerospace companies that are interested in talking about their investment plans also join.

The tour will begin on Monday, June 19, with the opening of the international meeting of the aviation industry (International Paris Air Show, Le Bourget). During that week, a work agenda will be discussed in Paris, France, where they plan meetings with executives of aeronautical companies that have a presence in the entity.

From 1999 to 2022, the entity has attracted 980.4 million dollars of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the manufacture of aerospace equipment, contributing 25.4% of the investment of 3,865.9 million dollars that the state received in that period for the manufacture of transportation equipment , reports the Ministry of Economy (SE)

After FDI for the manufacture of parts for motor vehicles (which accounts for 69.5% of transport FDI), the manufacture of aerospace equipment is the second subsector that contributes the most to the manufacture of transport equipment.

In the last three years, Querétaro has not registered new capital in the field of aerospace equipment manufacturing. In 2019, 3.7 million dollars of foreign investment of this origin was added, in 2020 it closed at zero, in 2021 it registered -1.5 million dollars and 2022 ended again without a record of investment in this field.

From 2006 to March 2023, the country accumulated 2,466.2 million dollars for this concept, representing 3.4% of the foreign investment that the country received in the transportation equipment manufacturing sector.
