Querétaro has the conditions to be an industrial spearhead at the national level

The state of Querétaro brings together the conditions to continue being the spearhead on a national scale for the development of manufacturing and logistics activities.

Its excellent geographical location over a three-hour radius on the way to potential markets of 45 million people is complemented by the proximity of the maritime terminals of Veracruz, on the Gulf of Mexico and Lázaro Cárdenas on the Pacific Ocean.

Additionally, Querétaro has the advantage of being connected by road with Mexico City and with the north of the country, through federal highway 57.

Among the main challenges that this important state of the Bajío must face are generating security conditions, guaranteeing the supply of electricity and drinking water.

The main strength of the entity is the availability of qualified labor, the comprehensive business environment, the existence of a quality of life at a lower cost with a clear growth horizon, when compared to other urban centers such as Mexico City.

Interviewed during a visit to the El Economista facilities, he stressed that the presence of the Querétaro Intercontinental Airport allows them to serve about 1.2 million passengers per year, which can be enhanced to meet the needs of the state's development demands.

Querétaro will seek to attract new industrial clusters, including the Data-Centers, and will continue to promote the development of the aerospace industry, where it is the fourth largest development pole in the world, as well as the automotive industry, maintaining important relationships with cities such as Michigan and Texas, in the United States, among other sectors that today are pillars of the state economy.

He mentioned that a law on public-private partnerships is in the process of being approved that will allow the state to generate more infrastructure and connectivity.

He anticipated that a road will be built to connect the Palmillas area, at the exit to Mexico City, with San Juan del Río, Tequisquiapan, the airport area to the city of Querétaro, which would allow the federal highway 57 Mexico to vent. Querétaro, because then there would be two highway rings: the Apaseo-Palmillas and that new Palmillas-Querétaro bypass, via San Juan del Río.

Regarding the problem of electricity supply, he acknowledged that Querétaro currently has a deficit in this matter, so his administration will analyze the way in which the necessary energy can be generated in industrial parks.

For this, an efficient coordination will be sought with the National Center for Energy Control (Cenace) and the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), to implement self-sustaining projects.
