Banco Inmobiliario Mexicano (BIM) virtually carried out the 2021 Regional Tour, an event where topics related to the trends that will dominate the different areas of the country in terms of housing were discussed.
It is a reality that has been a difficult year and full of uncertainties due to the Covid-19 pandemic, before this Rodrigo Padilla, General Director of BIM explained that opportunities are seen in the sector, in several regions in which the institution has a presence.
“We notice a vigorous growth, which gives us the impetus to move forward, in addition to the Housing Production Forecast of the RUV, in 2021 a nationwide production of 181 thousand 351 homes is estimated, which represents a growth of the 19.8% with respect to the observed data of 2020 ”.

"Not all productive activities will be as before 2020, technology has eliminated distances and with regard to mortgage loans, everything seems to be improving, since they have grown 6% in February 2021, which keeps us in an optimistic climate" .
According to the statement, in the 2021 Regional Tour it was highlighted that:
Bajío: BIM participates with 12.9% of the housing inventory in the region, and the monthly absorption per developer is 3 Houses. Aguascalientes, Guanajuato and San Luis Potosí, present a potential growth for BIM. The bank's goal is to position itself at the level demanded by this region.
Northeast: BIM intervenes with 5.8% of the housing inventory in the region, and the monthly absorption per developer is 2 Houses. Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, present a potential growth for BIM. The State of Nuevo León continues to be the one with the highest number of real estate loans.
West: BIM contributes 13.8% of the housing inventory in the region, and the monthly absorption per developer is 4 Houses. Aguascalientes, Chihuahua and Jalisco show potential growth for BIM. It is expected to maintain the participation in Colima and Michoacán.
Gulf / South: BIM collaborates with 14% of the housing inventory in the region, and the monthly absorption per developer is 2 Houses. Yucatán, presents a potential growth for BIM. This region has attractive interest rates. There is a greater drop in the supply of affordable housing construction, also due to the fact that it is a tourist area.
Northwest: BIM participates with 13.7% of the housing inventory in the region, and the monthly absorption per developer is 2 Houses. Sinaloa and Sonora present potential growth for BIM. It is expected to maintain the participation in Baja California.
Metropolitan: BIM intervenes with 18.5% of the housing inventory in the region, and the monthly absorption per developer is 1 House. Estado de México and CDMX show selective growth for BIM.
