The National Auto Parts Industry (INA) reported that, during the first quarter of 2024, a value of 31,194 million dollars was generated in the production of auto parts, consolidating the forecast of 126,149 million dollars at the end of the year.

May 2024 had a growth of 4.9% thanks to the 365,574 units produced in national territory. It also reported that from January to May 2024 there was a growth of 5.5% compared to the same period in 2023, thanks to the 1,651,930 units produced so far this year.

Regarding exports, in May 2024, 310,655 units were mobilized, which generates an increase of 13.0% compared to May 2023, in the accumulated year. 1,426,110 units have been exported, which means a growth of 12.3% compared to the same period in 2023.

It was emphasized that the main export market is the United States, with a cumulative total from January to May 2024 of 1,147,170 units transported to that country, which represents 80.4% of Mexican automotive exports.

Guillermo Rosales Zarate, Executive President of AMDA explained that so far this year 585,721 units have been sold, which means an increase of 12.7% compared to the same period but in 2023. Compared to May, 119,985 units were sold, thus generating an increase of 12.3% compared to the May 2023 period.
