With an investment of 35 million dollars (mdd), the Swedish-American company Autoliv inaugurated its new manufacturing plant in Aguascalientes, where it hopes to generate 3,000 jobs.
The production complex, located in the FINSA industrial park, will manufacture automotive components such as steering wheels, airbags, seat belts, intuitive steering wheels and other technological innovations.
According to Kevin Fox, president of Autoliv Americas, this development stands out from the offices in other countries, since it has various characteristics such as human capital.

This development is the company's seventh in Mexico and one of the 20 new ones in the world, with the capacity to produce up to three million car steering wheels a year.
Sergio Argüelles González, president and CEO of FINSA, indicated that the development of the manufacturer was built with a sustainable system, optimizing water savings and reducing pollutant emissions.
“The building will have LEED certifications thanks to the implementation of different strategies that reduce water consumption by 52%, in addition to using treated water for irrigation; while the total energy consumption, a saving of 7% is generated. In all areas of oxygen that improve the well-being and comfort of the occupants”.

Likewise, he reported that the new building of the Swedish-American company is a relevant project, since for its construction the plant required the participation of 40 workers a day.
In terms of job creation, Martin Orozco Sandoval, governor of Aguascalientes, stressed that Autoliv's investment is one of the largest in his administration due to the number of jobs generated, but above all, due to their quality.
