Philips Industries invests 20 million dollars in expansion of its plant in Saltillo

On the Arteaga submarket located in Saltillo, the automotive supplier company Phillips Industries, producer of electrical harnesses for the heavy vehicle industry, plans to expand its facilities.

The investment is estimated at 20 million dollars on a growth area of 360 thousand square meters. They estimated the generation of 300 new direct jobs, of which about 200 will be operating by the end of this year.

The National Autoparts Industry, INA, pointed out that Coahuila is at the forefront in attracting automotive investment throughout the country, with more than 1.8 billion dollars in registered investments in the sector.

The plant is located within the Davisa Industrial Park, was inaugurated in 2011 and produces between 35 and 40 thousand harnesses weekly.

Saltillo at the end of 2Q 2021 registered a gross demand for industrial space of 135.3 thousand square meters and industrial spaces were completed for almost 147 thousand square meters that completed the inventory in the city.
