Mexican peso falls as US dollar recovers

The Mexican peso depreciated on Monday morning, the national currency fell after a streak of four consecutive days of gains, due to the tension in the market due to the new US tariff policy.

The spot exchange rate is at the level of 20.3273 pesos per dollar, comparing the figure with the official closing of 20.3040 pesos last Friday, with data from the Bank of Mexico (Banxico), this movement means a loss of 2.33 or 0.12% for the peso.

The dollar price had a range movement at a maximum of 20.4291 units and a minimum level of 20.2842, the dollar index, of the Intercontinental Exchange, which compares the dollar with a basket of six strong currencies, showing an advance of 0.09%.
