Steps to obtain inclusive housing from the CDMX program

The Government of Mexico City released the Inclusive Housing Program 2019-2024 a few months ago. The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (Seduvi) reported on the details and the process for those who are interested in the Official Gazette of CDMX.

The goal of Claudia Sheinbaum's project is to provide low-income families with well-located housing.

The costs will range from 615 thousand pesos to one million 192 thousand pesos. At the end of the Morenista government in Mexico City, it is planned to build 9,000 apartments.

These homes will be 'green', that is, they will have various technological mechanisms for caring for the environment and saving energy and resources. For this they will have: toilets and showers with low water consumption, water-saving faucets in bathrooms and kitchens, LED lamps, garbage separation areas and rooftops with orchards.

The homes built by CDMX will have full bathrooms with furniture, accessories and ceramic coverings. The kitchens will have a sink and stove.

The areas designated for construction are: Zona Rosa, Tacubaya, Historic Center and Industrial Zone of Vallejo. While the corridors will be in: Central Axis, Pino Suárez- Tlalpan, Hidalgo-México Tacuba, National Railways- Xochimanca, Reforma Norte, Chapultepec and Insurgentes Norte.

According to the 2020 Government report by Claudia Sheinbaum, the properties are located in the Guerrero neighborhood, Atlampa, Vallejo polygon and Cerrada Fray Servando, although the locations have not been fully disclosed.

You can buy or rent a home through this program. The process is free. Among the requirements is to be a natural person over 18 years of age and live in Mexico City.

The process has three phases, the first being the obtaining of proof and application of the interested persons; the second is the review of applications and publication of results and, finally, the process of buying and selling or renting inclusive housing.
