With an investment of 600 million pesos, the Elite Industrial Group laid the first stone of the Cortijo I Industrial Park, which will be its tenth last-mile industrial park located in the metropolitan municipality of Tonalá next to the Guadalajara-Zapotlanejo highway, and that it estimates to start operating in the next 12 months.

The park will have an area of 70,000 square meters and will have 60 industrial buildings of different sizes and will cover the automotive, pharmaceutical, electronic, technological cluster, and especially the logistics cluster, said the businessman.

The main characteristics of the last-mile industrial parks are their strategic location, both for deliveries to the final consumer and for the installation of suppliers of large companies, which is why they have small warehouses from one thousand square meters.

"This small submarket of Guadalajara, León, Irapuato, Silao, Salamanca, Celaya and Querétaro, in that strip that you travel in two and a half or three hours by vehicle, almost a quarter of the national productivity is concentrated," said one of the two directors of the Elite group, who anticipated that the company is getting ready to develop industrial parks in  León and Querétaro from 2024.
