Rogelio Ramírez de la O, Secretary of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), assured that the relocation and transfer of the operations of companies from Asia to Mexico has caused a high demand for industrial parks in the north of the country, to such an extent that they are full.

"All of this has to do with the relocation of the industry and with investors' perception that there is a medium and long-term opportunity in the Mexican economy," he commented during the closing of the 30th Citibanamex Plenary Meeting.

"Yes, we are attentive and sensitive to the investment issue," commented the head of the SHCP, who next week will travel to two cities in Europe to present the actions carried out to maintain economic stability in Mexico.

The Ministry of Finance and Public Credit makes a visit to the markets every year to present its financing program and answer questions to investors, recalled Ramírez de la O.

The person in charge of finance policy in the current government stated that it is not overreacting with actions to stop external shocks derived from Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The Mexican economy has a first line of defense against external shocks, which is the stability of public finances.

Social programs have shielded the basic income layer, down the income distribution curve and have given us a lot of room to maintain social stability, peace between families and security, said Ramírez de la O.
