KB Components confirmed that it will open a second plant in Mexico, and the new facility will be located in the city of Irapuato.
Irapuato in the state of Guanajuato, is the second largest automotive cluster in Mexico.

With this injection of capital in Irapuato, the Swedish company seeks to serve both industrial and automotive clients that require injection molded plastic components and assembly operations.
"We are reaching out to a wide range of OEMs, as well as Tier 1 customers," stated Lars Holtskog, vice president, KB Components.
They will introduce the same philosophy that they have in their other production facilities, counting on a high degree of automation and continuous monitoring, in order to ensure the best quality and operational excellence.

In their first Mexican headquarters in Puebla they also go through a process of large investments related to the recent nominations obtained with Volkswagen, Audi and Volvo Cars.
Following this expansion, which is expected to be completed in early 2022, KB Components will now operate eight facilities located in: Gislaved and Örkelljunga, Sweden; Kaunas, Lithuania; Zilina, Slovakia; Wuxi, China; Puebla and Irapuato, Mexico; Windsor, Canada.
