In order to further strengthen commercial relations with Mexico, Nestlé confirmed a new capital injection for 160 million dollars.
The multinational food and beverage company will be generating around 200 new direct jobs in Guanajuato Puerto Interior (GPI).

This announcement was made known by Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, Governor of the State, who together with Mauricio Usabiaga Díaz Barriga, head of the Secretariat for Sustainable Economic Development (SDES), are conducting a 2021 Investment Attraction Tour in Europe; and as a first stop, they arrived in Vevey, Switzerland where the headquarters of this food company are located.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that they will increase production from 214 thousand to 285 thousand tons of dry food and from 12 thousand to 25 thousand tons of wet food.

The governor highlighted that currently in Guanajuato there are investments of Swiss origin close to 400 million dollars and that they offer 840 committed jobs, mainly in the automotive-auto parts and agri-food sectors.
Some of these companies are Nestlé-Purina, dedicated to the production of pet food; Demo Technic, manufacturer of injected plastic components for the auto parts sector; George Utz, producer of returnable containers for auto parts transport logistics; Baumman Springs, which makes springs for the automotive industry; Daetwyler which specializes in the manufacture of high precision rubber / rubber components for brake systems; and Komax, creator of automated solutions for cable processing applications.
