In large cities, such as Mexico City (CDMX), one of the main problems for those who inhabit it is mobility, according to a study carried out by Tom Tom Traffic Index.
On average, the study reveals, in Mexico a person loses 119 hours of their time a year due to traffic on the streets, which translates into four days and 23 hours, only three days and three hours less than in 2019, before that the pandemic will limit transfers.
Precisely so that their quality of life is not affected by spending several hours inside vehicles, hybrid work has been positioned as a solution to mobility problems, since it allows people to stay in contact with their workplaces.
Traffic congestion is at its peak during the famous peak hours, so people sacrifice time with their families and their quality of life in general.

As for companies, they are at a decisive moment for the future of their employees, since sanitary conditions lend themselves to a return to normality, although factors such as mobility can affect employee productivity levels.
In this regard, the study 'Redefining workspaces in Latin America' prepared by WeWork, highlights that 85% of Mexican collaborators point to the hybrid model as the ideal in the post-pandemic era, while 95% highlight the waste of time commuting as the main disadvantage of face-to-face work.
Pandemic teleworking may be coming to an end and the implications for companies can be varied and range from retaking leased offices, which raises their operating costs, to ensuring the necessary conditions so that a permanent teleworking relationship is not formed.
All this under the premise of looking for an option that does not affect the good productivity achieved by working at home and that allows the flexibility that the quarantines brought with them.

The dynamics of face-to-face work will never be the same, as people are now inclined towards hybrid work models that help them reduce their stress and increase their productivity.
Hence, alternatives that allow having flexible headquarters are beginning to position themselves as the best option so that the return to normality does not imply challenges that impact the performance of workers and that, on the contrary, facilitate the balance between personal and work life.
Companies must now consider decentralization and the welfare of their employees. The mixture of these two tools will ensure the success of the return to work activities.
