Monterrey and Guadalajara enjoy economic and real estate attractiveness

The real estate behavior of Guadalajara and Monterrey, two key metropolises for the country, both due to their population density and because they are a benchmark for other metropolises that are in the expansion phase.

According to the 2020 Population and Housing Census, Guadalajara and Monterrey are two of the 10 most populated metropolitan areas in Mexico. In the first there are 5.2 million inhabitants and in the second 5.3 million.

In addition, the specialist explains that both cities are an urban pole, for Jalisco and Nuevo León. Two states that lead the economic and productive dynamism of the country.

In this regard, the Institute of Statistical and Geographic Information of Jalisco (IIEG) mentioned that in January 2021, 6,755 formal jobs were created in Jalisco. Of the total number of workers registered with the IMSS —1,787,122—, Guadalajara accounts for 38.64 percent.

For its part, Data Nuevo León indicates that Nuevo León is the state with the lowest labor informality and generates 7.3 percent of the National Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
