Molex doubles production in Guadalajara with an investment of 130 million dollars

Molex, a company dedicated to electronics and connectivity innovations, announced an expansion with the inauguration of a new factory in Guadalajara that will have 60,000 square meters and the potential to increase capacity by an additional 100,000 m2.

The expansion will enable them to support advanced engineering and large-scale production for their automotive, transportation and industrial customers in North America and around the world.

For the development of this state-of-the-art facility, which has new tools, technologies and processes to supply the unprecedented demand for interconnection solutions for tomorrow's electric vehicles (EVs), Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and connected vehicles, Molex has invested $130 million.

The fully integrated plant incorporates factory capabilities of the future, including advanced production line automation, autonomous robots, and advanced molding and assembly tooling, as well as complete engineering and operations to optimize product development, supply chain management supply, quality testing and volume manufacturing.
