The expansion of the French company Michelin phase II began on April 28, 2022; with an investment of 400 million dollars and the generation of 622 jobs in Guanajuato. The company had already laid the first stone of phase I investment on August 22, 2016, with an investment of 510 million dollars.

Rodríguez Vallejo, governor of Guanajuato, stressed that Michelin is a company that is committed to innovation, research and development to face the challenges that are already looming in the automotive industry.
