Mexico obtains third place as the nation with the largest automotive export

The World Trade Organization (WTO) presented the key data and trends in world trade during 2023, showing that despite a general contraction of 2% in world trade, Mexico positioned itself as a prominent player, making significant progress.

The Automotive sector was an area in which Mexico stood out, occupying third place among the countries that export the most vehicles, Mexico reached a share of 8.64% of total exports, with a value of 158 thousand 430 million dollars, this achievement places Mexico is only behind the European Union, which leads with 45.33% and China with 9.28%.
