From the analysis of the results of the international automotive trade figures of the T-Mec for the year 2020, published by the United States Department of Commerce and the World Trade Organization (WTO), it can be deduced that Mexico is by far the leading exporter of the group.
Our country is the great winner of intraregional trade with exports to the United States of 112.898 million dollars and 4.162 million dollars to Canada, during 2020.
These amounts cause the flow of trade from the automotive sector from Mexico to the United States to exceed by just over 4 times American exports to Mexico.

Mexico leads the automotive trade with Canada with US $ 4.162 million and in the opposite direction Canada sent to Mexico during 2020 about US $ 821 million of automotive exports.
Of the three countries that make up the T-Mec, Canada has the lowest participation, because although its exports to the United States are comparable to its imports, on average 45.5 billion dollars, shipments to Mexico are reduced to less than one billion dollars, as indicated in the previous paragraph.

If we consider that the T-Mec entered into force as of July 1, 2020, there is no doubt that this agreement has generated a great advantage for the Mexican economy after the difficult transit that has arisen as a result of Covid-19, and whose effects are still latent.
Markets such as Monterrey, Saltillo, Tijuana and Guanajuato have been strengthened as a result of these investments that seek to further integrate the production chains of the automotive sector.
