Mexicali Secures Major Investment to Strengthen the Aerospace Sector

The industrial market in Mexicali has established itself as the second most important in the state of Baja California, standing out for its rapid growth and significant contribution to the region’s economic development.

This border city has succeeded in attracting numerous companies, both national and international, due to its strategic location, well-developed infrastructure, and skilled workforce.

Additionally, sectors such as advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and electronics have found Mexicali to be an ideal location to establish operations, further strengthening its role in Baja California’s economy and positioning it as a key industrial center in northwestern Mexico.

The aerospace industry in Mexicali has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, largely driven by an increase in both foreign and domestic investments. One of the most notable contributions is a $370 million investment from Gulfstream, a global leader in the production of high-end executive aircraft.

This ambitious industrial project will cover an area of approximately 550,000 square feet, including extensive operational areas specifically designed for the manufacture of next-generation executive aircraft. Together, these types of investments contribute to the economic growth of Baja California and highlight Mexicali's potential as a strategic destination for the global aerospace industry.
